As we bid farewell to another year, Waikiki will once again be transformed into a mesmerizing haven of celebration, culminating in the dazzling spectacle of the 2024 Fireworks Show sponsored by the Waikiki Improvement Association. Against the backdrop of swaying palm trees and the rhythmic ocean waves, the skies over Waikiki will be illuminated with an explosion of colors and lights, marking a splendid farewell to the past and a joyous welcome to the future.

Thousands will gather along the iconic shores of Waikiki to witness the breathtaking display of fireworks produced by Hawaii Explosives + Pyrotechnics, casting an enchanting glow over the iconic Diamond Head. 

Local favorites and innovative pyrotechnic designs weave a narrative of celebration, resilience, and hope. The show will begin at 11:55pm. Spectators can direct their attention towards the ocean and tune your radio to KOOL Gold 107.9, AM690/94.3FM The Answer, Country 97.5 and 95.1FM/AM760 Honolulu’s Real Country to enjoy choreographed music with the show! It is a 8-10 minute show.

A truly magnificent finale will “top off the evening” providing all the sparkle and joy of the season as spectators ring in the New Year from the beautiful vista of Waikiki.

Waikiki Rooftop Pineapple Drop

Looking for a “ball drop” head to International Market Places, Grand Lanai, where the festivities take place from 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Ring in the New Year with Waikiki’s only Rooftop Pineapple Drop at Midnight. Make your way to the area near Crackin’ Kitchen to countdown to 2024 in the Big Pineapple.  A rotation of DJs will take the stage all evening long on the main Grand Lānai space fronting Liliha Bakery. Sit back and relax, or get up and dance!

New Year’s Eve on the Grand Lānai is free and open to the public. Restaurant menus and extended hours may vary. Please check with each restaurant for specific details.
