RIMPAC 2026
The upcoming 30th iteration of RIMPAC is scheduled for June 24–July 31, 2026 around Hawaiʻi.
Every two years, Hawaiʻi hosts RIMPAC, the world’s largest international maritime exercise, bringing together ships, aircraft, and personnel from around the globe for weeks of training and partnership-building across the Pacific.
Participating forces conduct a wide range of training activities, including:
- Maritime security operations
- Amphibious landings
- Air defense exercises
- Anti-submarine warfare
- Missile and gunnery exercises
- Humanitarian assistance & disaster response training
- Search and rescue operations
- Diving and salvage operations
One of the most anticipated RIMPAC events is the SINKEX (Sinking Exercise), where decommissioned ships are used as targets for coordinated training involving ships, aircraft, and missiles. This allows participating nations to practice complex maritime operations in a realistic environment.
