Immerse Yourself in the Honolulu Festival: A Local Favorite

The Honolulu Festival stands as Hawaii’s foremost cultural celebration, fostering mutual understanding, economic cooperation, and ethnic harmony between Hawaii and the Pacific Rim region. Drawing thousands of new and returning spectators annually, the festival offers a uniquely Hawaiian experience. Through the Honolulu Festival Foundation’s educational programs and activities, the event successfully showcases the diverse and vibrant blend of Asia, Pacific, and Hawaiian cultures to a global audience.

Held over three days in March, from Friday through Sunday, the festival features performers from various countries and regions, including Japan, Australia, Tahiti, the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, Hawaii, and the mainland United States, who come together to present dance performances and traditional art demonstrations. The festival’s grand finale is a spectacular parade down Waikiki’s Kalakaua Avenue. With events and activities conveniently located near the city center, the Honolulu Festival is a fantastic outing for both locals and tourists. Best of all, admission to all events is free, ensuring that everyone can participate in this cultural extravaganza.
