There’s so many unique sweet treats of Hawaii and sometimes not enough time to check out all of them. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite places serving up local, sweet treats that are a must visit when you’re on the island. 

Banan – Indulge in this dairy-free frozen goodness made from Hawaii-grown bananas! Cool off with Banan by the beach – choose from banana soft-serve, smoothies, Acai bowls, juice floats, waffles, pineapple yachts and papaya boats!

Island Vintage Shave Ice – Located at the Royal Hawaiian Center at the kiosks across Royal Grove, pick up a fresh shave ice treat to enjoy as you walk down Kalakaua Ave. 

Kona Coffee Purveyors – One of our favorite coffee shops in Waikiki! Located at the International Market Place, this place also houses b.patisserie, proudly serving  James Beard award-winning croissants, Kouign-Aman and other pastries/cookies! A great pairing for your morning in Waikiki!

Leonard’s Bakery – Malasadas! This popular bakery is worth the wait – your must stop dessert stop! Grab a dozen of malasadas (a Portugese doughnut without a hole, or choose from a variety of offerings including pastries, cookies, pies, pao doce (sweet bread) and pao doce wraps (ham & cheese, hot dog &  sausage)! Drooling yet?

Liliha Bakery – Another classic bakery on our island. Home to the original Coco Puff, Poi Mochi Donuts and Chantilly Cake! This bakery also has a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu so be sure to make a stop and have a meal and take away some sweet treats during your visit!

Pipeline Bakeshop – A bakeshop and creamery! Famous for their Cake Bomb® (miniature flavored cakes), Malafrozada® (a popular ice cream flavor has bits of malasadas and sugar throughout) and Malamode® (hot malasadas wrapped around their homemade ice cream), Pipeline Bakeshop serves Hawaii’s favorite local treats made with signature island flavors that rotates weekly!

Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha – Serving all-natural, homemade, and local Hawaiian shave ice and Pure Aloha daily in Aina Haina Shopping Center and Ala Moana Center!

Waiola Shave Ice – A popular mom and pop dessert shop since 1940, indulge in locally made counter-served shave ice (with homemade toppings) and ice cream.
